- Description
- Trevanian is the pen name of American film scholar and writer Rodney William Whitaker. He is something of a chameleon, as he writes in many genres. Nearly all of his work, however, features strong, intelligent men who are at home with art, music, and violence. Trevanian's thrillers are smart, breezy, and fast-paced, lending wry humor and world-weary charm to tales of assassination and espionage. His psychological horror is thoughtful, haunting, and ominous. His single western is equally as brooding but with a lighter, kinder touch. Trevanian also writes short stories, noted chiefly for their stylistic versatility. Start with: The Eiger Sanction (Thrillers); The Summer of Katya (Horror)
