Summary
This collection consists of three folders. The first contains a copied list of land deed notes and notes on the Battle of Tippecanoe, a written summary on the origins of the county, a letter from Jn. P. Boyd to Honorable Richard Cutts Esquire regarding the Battle of Tippecanoe, a roll of the army that fought in the Battle of Tippecanoe and a letter from Charles Mehl to Martin Mehl (includes both the original and the transcript). The second folder includes notes on a Record of Poor Children's Indentures, including the names of the indentured children, their parents and the people they owe their indenture to. The third folder contains ads, a book entitled "Early Days in Lafayette, IN" and booklets for historical museums. The folders are arranged chronologically with materials from the Battle of Tippecanoe in 1811 to the booklets for historical museums from 1942
Biographical or historical data
