- Sister Mary Kenneth Scheessele was born on December 5, 1922, to John George and Ida (Griesbaum) Scheessele. She entered the St. Benedict Convent Immaculate Conception, Ferdinand, Indiana, in 1940, and made her monastic vows in 1942. Kathleen (Inniger) Jacobsen, born on November 17, 1924 in Adams County, Indiana. She was a missionary of the First Missionary Church in Berne, Indiana. Jacobsen died of a brain tumor on January 28, 1978.Father Linus Swartz was a monk of St. Meinrad Archabbey, St. Meinrad, Indiana. He was born on June 3, 1911 to Charles and Kathryn (Strobel) Swartz, in New Albany, Indiana. Swartz died on April 4, 1978. Source: Items in the collection.Dubois County Free Press.
