- Biographical or historical data
- Dr. Leslie E. Werry was born in 1883, married Clara G. Grossman in 1919, and had two sons, Leslie E., Jr., and Paul F. He served in the medical corps during World War I, and was a company doctor for a copper mine in Michigan. As a young doctor, he lived in Hartford City, Indiana where he practiced for 43 years before retiring in 1962. His church, Grace Methodist, honored him at a ceremony on April 29, 1962. His wife Clara died on April 10, 1970. Leslie E. Werry died 6 years later on September 25, 1976 in Harford City.
