- Summary
- John Martindell (1676-1750), a Quaker, emigrated in 1684 from England to Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, before 1700. He married Mary Bridgman, daughter of Walter and Blanche Constable Bridgman, in 1705. They had seven children, 1707-1723. He died in 1750. Descendants of their sons, John Martindale (b. 1719) and William Martindale (1723-1808), lived in South Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Texas, and elsewhere
