Biographical or historical data
Jacob Moorehouse Ward, Sr. and his friend Robert Hall wrote essays which they shared with each other. Ward was married to Martha C. Ward. They lived in Lewisville, Henry County, Indiana and had at least two daughters, Marcella Ward-Copeland and Laura A. Ward-Grills, who lived in Hagerstown, Indiana. In 1846, Jacob Ward lived in Cincinnati, Ohio and making furniture. Merton W. Grills was the son of Laura A. Ward-Grills and Jacob Moorehouse Ward's grandson.
