- David Sage (1639-1703) immigrated in 1652 with his widowed mother from Wales via England to Middletown, Connecticut. He married twice, and lived in the portion of Middletown now known as Cromwell, Connecticut. Anthony Slocum (fl.1637-1639) immigrated from England to Taunton, Massachusetts. Russell Sage (b.1816) was a direct descendant of David in the seventh generation, and Russell's second wife was Margaret Olivia Slocum, a direct descendant of Anthony in the eighth generation. Descendants of David and Anthony lived in New England, New York, Michigan, Wisconsin and elsewhere
