- Genealogical table tracing the descendants of Thomas Hart. Mr. Hart was married twice and had four children. His children and their descendants later settled in Georgia, Virginia, Tennessee, and elsewhere in the Southern United States. According to a paragraph on the chart, Thomas Hart was the son of Scot-Irish Presbyterians from Wales who came to America for religious freedom: "A Mr. Hart and his wife came to America from Wales about 1735. They were both Scotch-Irish Presbyterians and came to America for freedom of religious worship. Mr. Hart died enroute. Mrs. Hart landed at Bordentown, N.J. Their son Thomas was born enroute. Thomas married 1st Mrs. Nancy (Stout) Butler, native of Scotland."
