- Biographical or historical data
- Harry Martin Stoops was born to Robert and Catherine [Cotherine] Stoops around 1866 or 1867 in Indiana. He was the oldest of five children, with sisters Lilly (Lillian) May [Mae], Ada [Adda], Sarah (Sallie),and Martha O. (Mattie). He received a B.A. in American History during 1893 from Indiana University and worked as a teacher and farmer, with a hobby of genealogy.
