Note
  • "Submitted by Mark Ashley Sellers, Jr. to the Nongame and Endangered Wildlife Program of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources 5 January 1987."
  • "Nineteen (19) historic (8) and new lead (11) sites were surveyed by the investigator in six (6) northern Indiana counties on four (4) drainage systems. N. e. neglecta was found at three (3) of these sites, at one (1) historic and two (2) new lead sites. Six (6) other sites have retained critical habitat components to support potentially viable populations and further study is recommended. Fiver (5) historic sites are determined to have been so disturbed that former populations are extirpated. One (1) confirmed site supports a large, healthy population and is recommended for special management / protection efforts. The report outlines full survey results, critical habitat descriptions, management suggestions, associated species of concern, population biology, publicity / promotion efforts and commendations for further research. Detailed data on each site is available from the IDNR Division of Natural Areas and Preserves via field forms submitted by the investigator. These data are summarized in appendices attached to the report"--Abstract leaf [1]
