Biographical or historical data
Bill Ingalls Hoese was born in 1915 in Worthington, Indiana. He became an Eagle Scout in 1929 and graduated from Worthington High School in 1933 and attended Indiana University where he worked for the family poultry business for several years. In 1940, Bill joined the Royal Canadian Air Force where he received training in Branden, Manitoba; Vancouver, British Colombia; Regina, Saskatchewan; Lethbridge, Alberta; and MacLeod, Alberta. He was assigned to active duty in England in September of 1941 as the sergeant, where he was killed in a flying accident a month later at the age of 26.
