Summary
Samuel Miles emigrated from Wales ca. 1750 and settled in Baltimore, Maryland. He served in the Revolutionary War and after the war migrated west to Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Kentucky, where he died. His son, Enos Miles, was born in 1766. He married Ann Buchanan near Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in 1789. They migrated to Virginia, Kentucky, and to Germantown, Ohio. He died in 1847. His son, Samuel Miles, was born in Versailles, Woodford County, Kentucky, in 1796. He served in the War of 1812 and after the war settled in Parke County, Indiana. He married Hannah Ghormley, daughter of Michael Ghormley of Parke County, in 1824. They had six children, 1826-1835. The family moved to Bowling Green, Indiana. He died in 1876 at Bowling Green. Descendants lived in Indiana and elsewhere
